Lones

Lone Guiding is for girls who cant attend regular meetings

Lone Guides
 Why join Lones?...

Some of us:

  • live far from the nearest town
  • live in towns where there's no Guiding, or no Guiding for our age group
  • attend boarding school
  • are travelling or living overseas
  • have other commitments during the week

We can still come together for events.  There's an annual Lones camp and we can also join in other events like camps in our Region and the Jamboree.

From the NSW Lones Region Leader...

This has been a fairly busy 3 months for Lones and me personally.

At the end of May, 11 members of Lones received either BP or Focus Certificates at the State Awards Presentation.  It was a great thrill to have so many recipients – congratulations to you all.  We were also excited to hear that our friends in Orana Region received the Olave Baden-Powell Memorial Award for their support of Western Plains Zoo.

Over Easter, 9 Lones attended a camp at Brittania Park, Victoria to help Victorian Lones celebrate 85 years.  The girls who attended were a credit to Guides NSW and this was acknowledged by the Victorian Leaders.

Congratulations to Sian Draffin who has completed her Queen’s Guide Award.  Her logbook is at present with the State Program Adviser for approval.

Justine and I are getting very excited about our trip to Canada to attend SOAR.  We had a meeting with the State International Consultant where a lot of our questions were answered.  There are going to be over 2000 participants from many different countries.

Remember girls, your leader likes to receive your replies as much as you like to receive your meetings.  Your meetings will be so much more interesting if there is plenty of news from you all.

Thank you for continuing to support Lone Guides
