Being in Guiding gives you many great opportunities to challenge yourself and earn new badges. A few of the badges available are shown on this page.
 

 Rainbow Challenge Badges

Guides NSW has devised a range of progressive skills challenges for girls aged 7 - 13 years. 

There are 7 levels of skills and a badge is available for each level achieved.  These skills stand alone, but can also be credited for the B-P and Junior B-P awards.

Ask your Leader to purchase the Rainbow Skills Challenge Packs from the Guide Shop.


 Create a Challenge Badges

For Guides a challenge is a goal or aim you set yourself and carry out to the best of your ability. 

 Look Wide has many challenges that you can do.  It also gives you opportunities to create your own challenges.  Click the badge for some Create-a-challenge ideas.

 Action Guide Badge

By taking part in all the activities on offer in your Guide Unit you can earn the Action Guide Badge.

 Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Did you know that you can do the Duke of Edinburgh's Award through Guides?  If you are aged 14 to 25, ask your Leader or mentor about starting work on the Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

 Australian Multicultural Ambassador Award
This is a special award open to Guides aged from 5 to 30 years who display outstanding commitment to Australian multiculturalism and would like to be a positive role model for community harmony. Click here for more info...

 Olympia Badge

The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association and WAGGGS have designed a new Olympia badge to celebrate that the Games of the XXIX Olympiad which will be held in Beijing in August 2008. The aim of the badge is to promote the WAGGGS message to “discover your potential” in many different ways, including sport.

Badges for these challenges are distributed from WAGGGS and will not be available until after the Easter break.
 

 Peak Achievement Awards

Peak achievement awards are those found in Aim High.  The Junior B-P, B-P and Queen's Guide Award are for active members who are ready for an extra challenge from Guiding.  Each of these awards must be completed before your 18th birthday and you must have made/ renewed your Promise before you begin.  Talk to your Leader about your plan to begin a peak achievement award.


 Triple Treat Badge

Earn this COOL badge by encouraging a friend to join Guides.

Each new friend you bring earns you another scoop of ice cream!

And if your Unit brings the most friends, you get to go for a REAL ice cream treat!

 Little Miss Potato Badge

2008 is the International Year of the Potato.  To help celebrate the program department have designed a Little Miss Potato Badge with 11 challenges for you to complete!

Click on the potato to download the syllabus.  Complete the challenges to the best of your ability to earn this special badge. 

 Community Harmony Badge

Unlike other badges you can wear the Community Harmony Badge on your uniform as soon as you start working on it.

Do this badge with your Patrol or Unit and find out about other cultures in your area.  Click on the badge for more info.
