Tara
has four fully self-contained accommodation options and several serviced
campsites. Onsite there is also BBQ facilities, an outdoor chapel,
ample off-street parking and a telephone.
Brownie Cottage
Sleeps 25
in bunk bed dormitory style accommodation. There is a bathroom, fully equipped
kitchen and a large dining/lounge area. Ceiling fans and electric heating ensure
that the temperature inside this building is comfortable all year round. There is also an open fire-place
for those cold winter nights. The back veranda
is an excellent spot to lay in the evening and watch the millions of stars and
search for constellations.
The Northern Room
Adjoining Brownie Cottage, the Northern Room is a fully self-contained studio
which sleeps 4. It has a kitchenette and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. The Northern Room can be accessed
through Brownie Cottage as additional accommodation or rented separately for
smaller groups.
Tolhurst Cottage
A quaint cottage style building with terracotta roofing and an open fire place,
Tohurst retains it's 'old world' charm. This building is ideal for small
Units or family groups, it sleeps 5 people in 3 rooms and has a small kitchen,
living and dining area and an outside bathroom with tub.
The
Olave Centre
The Olave Centre is the largest in house
accommodation area at Tara, it sleeps
27 in dormitory style bedrooms, ceiling fans and electric heating help to keep
the temperature pleasant. The Olave Centre boasts a large commercial kitchen, a common dining and lounge area,
and a large bathroom
with 5 showers, including one for disabled use. The internal courtyard is
ideal for inside activities or outside dining.
