Araluen Lodge provides a great
opportunity to inspire all Guides. It is by no means a winter only
property as "off season" in the Snowy Mountains is now as busy
as the "ski season".

Situated just 200m from the shores of beautiful Lake
Jindabyne, Araluen acts as a base camp for many great activities such as
sailing, cycling, horse-riding, kite-flying, fishing, canoeing, camping,
and hiking - all in a pristine alpine environment. There are many more
affordable activities in the area besides snow sports.
Araluen Lodge is very well appointed with your groups needs taken into
consideration. You just need to bring your arrive with your group and
start your program.

43
beds each with a pillow and 2 blankets are provided in a range of rooms
from dormitories to bedrooms with ensuites, including disabled facilities.
A fully equipped commercial kitchen with dishwasher is adjacent to the
large dining and recreation area and a gas barbecue is available. A
DVD/Video player and CD/Cassette stereo are situated in the recreation
area, however television reception is not available.
All
Guiding groups can use the Lodge throughout the October-June period. It is
perfect for unit or district family trips, leaders gatherings or other
groups and is available for most school holidays except July.
The township of Jindabyne is constantly growing and caters for all
groups needs with supermarkets, cafes, giftshops, sports hire stores,
restaurants and even a heated swimming pool. It is within walking distance
from the Lodge whilst the mountains and ski resorts are a short drive
away.
