1. Terms of Appointment

  1. The Olave Program Co-ordinator must be an adult Member of Guides NSW under the age of 30, recommended by the Olave Program Committee and appointed by the Board for a term of one year with a mutually agreed extension of one year.
  2. It is preferable that the Olave Program Co-ordinator be a member of the Olave Program Committee prior to the commencement of her term.
  3. The Olave Program Coordinator must cease this role, and membership of the Olave Program Committee, upon turning 30 years of age.
  4. The Olave Program Coordinator is responsible to the Board through the State Commissioner..
  5. The Olave Program Coordinator is adviser to the Board and Members of Guides NSW on matters relating to the Olave Program.
  6. The Olave Program Co-ordinator is chairman of the Olave Program Committee.

2. Duties

  1. To encourage participation in the Olave Program by adult Members under the age of 30 years.
  2. To ensure that relevant and timely information is distributed to Region Olave Program Liaisons.
  3. To communicate input and responses from NSW Olave Program participants to the National Olave Program Manager and to coordinate state responsibilities in the National Olave Program Operational Plan.
  4. To liaise with the State Commissioner or her nominated representative.
  5. To ensure that records relating to the functions of the Olave Program are maintained.
  6. To liaise with other departments when the interests overlap.
  7. To develop a contact with the parallel office-bearer in any other State and Guides Australia.
  8. To attend, when possible, conferences and gatherings of Guides NSW.

3. Responsibilities

  1. To adhere to the Policies and Procedures of Guides NSW.
  2. To submit a  monthly report the State Commissioner.
  3. To provide information as required by the National Olave Program Manager.
  4. To prepare and submit an annual budget.
  5. To maintain an acceptable level of income and expenditure against this budget.
  6. To prepare and submit to the SEO an annual report that will form the basis of the Guides NSW Annual Report.

These Terms of Reference are to be considered in conjunction with the Preamble for all Committees with the exception of the appointment of the Coordinator.
