Claire and Wendy, two Guide Leaders recently
visited the Auburn Mosque.
After being warmly welcomed by the Muslim
women, they were given a tour of the mosque to
explain the history and the decorations. "It was so beautiful, just imagine, all
the inside walls and ceilings are hand painted!"
Questions were encouraged on the
building and the Muslim faith and were answered clearly and succinctly. They
learnt a lot more about the faith and also how the media have distorted
somewhat the treatment of women. These were all strong, educated and
articulate women and the day was very special and enjoyable. They were very
excited to have Guides visiting.
